After six years of intensive study at what is recognized as one of the world's premier music institutes, all of us at IFEPA congratulate Michelle Tawada on her graduation from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory

Michelle's decision to study in Moscow was based on her exposure to
Master Classes sponsored by IFEPA. The foundation gave her the opportunity to learn not only from Sergei Dorensky, but others like Viktor Merzhanov, Yuri Slesarev, the late Madame Halina Czerny-Stefanska and the late Lev Vlasenko. All of Michelle's teachers in these Master Classes are winners of international piano competitions such as the Tchaikovsky Competition and the Beethoven Competition.

In the first year of her six-year program, Michelle learned to speak Russian, took music history classes and other classes that prepared her for the next five years of intensive study on the piano. To reach her goal of studying in Moscow, she had to graduate from high school a year early.  Michelle Tawada is truly a talented pianist and thanks to IFEPA, she has been blessed to receive the best training the world has to offer.

"Thanks to the IFEPA one of my life long dreams has come true. I had the opportunity to study piano at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Professor Sergei Dorensky."
