albert wonjae pae

Born in Los Angeles in 1991, flautist Albert Wonjae Pae was a student at the Orange County High School of the Arts and is a member of the Asia America Youth Symphony.

Albert began playing the flute only a few years ago. The young prodigy has won the Superior Award for both his performances at the
Southern California Society Band and Orchestra Association and the Southern California Junior Bach Festival. Albert has also placed first in the MTNA national competition for the state of California going on the win second place at the MTNA national division competition in Hawaii. He took first place at the Antelope Valley Bach Competition, played solo at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, placed first in the VOCE semi-finals and won first place alternate at the VOCE finals.

In the summer of 2004 Albert was chosen to attend
William Bennett's Flute Master Class in England and Sir James Galway's Flute Master Class in Switzerland. He receives private lessons from Sir James Galway and Mrs. Myoung So Kim. As a former member of the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, Albert has appeared in the operas La Boheme, The Queen of Spades and Carmina Burana, all of which were produced by the Los Angeles Opera at the Los Angeles Music Center. Today, Albert performs throughout the United States and Europe.
