Music Gang is the second step on our pathway to the arts. It is unique after-school program where master mentors like Renee Vanasee offer kids one-on-one training time in small group settings. This simple format provides us with the perfect forum to spot young talent who would benefit from additional training in a Master Class.

Thanks to support from private donors, we are able to offer Music Gang as a free after-school program. This is especially important in schools where over a decade of deep district-wide budget cuts have altogether eliminated many music programs and tenured teachers.

For some students, the program is their musical awakening, a first opportunity to play an instrument under the gentle guidance of good teacher. For others, their Music Gang serves as a first opportunity to truly understand and appreciate the invaluable contribution that music has historically made to human development and can continue make in their life today.

The program follows naturally after a Music4Kidz "klassic koncert" and shows the greatest promise of being rolled out nationally to needy American K-12 public schools.
