The American Music Conference is a national non-profit educational association founded in 1947. AMC is dedicated to promoting the importance of music, music-making and music education to the general public. The Music for All Foundation is a national non-profit organization committed to expanding the role of music and the arts in education, to heightening the publicfs appreciation of the value of music and arts education, and to creating a positive environment for the arts through societal change.



The Music for Youth Foundation (MFY) is a non-profit initiative with its mission to identify, fund and lend experience to innovative programs that make quality music education available to underpriveleged young people.




The Music Teachers' Association of California, incorporated in 1897, is a professional organization of approximately 4,500 members. Throughout its 100 year history, MTAC has dedicated its efforts towards the pursuit of excellence in music education. Each of the sixty branches throughout the state - from Humboldt County to San Diego - maintains its own schedule of programs and activities and participates in state wide projects and programs. Their mission is the pursuit of excellence in music education to promote the stability of the music teaching profession; to maintain the high professional standards of our members; to maintain the exacting qualifications for membership in the organization establishing the active member as a qualified, accredited teacher; and to promote the development of musical potential and ability in students.



The mission of Music Teachers National Association is to advance the value of music study and music making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers. The association maintains two subsidiary programs: MTNA Professional Certification Program and the MTNA Foundation Fund. The Professional Certification Program exists to improve the level of professionalism within the field of applied music teaching and helps the public readily identify competent music teachers in their communities. The MTNA Foundation Fund supports programs to financially assist teachers and students with their educational pursuits while providing an opportunity for individual and corporate support of MTNA and its programs.



The National Association for Music Education. MENC's mission is to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all. MENC created national standards for music education and believes that every individual should be guaranteed the opportunity to learn music and to share in musical experiences.
