Subject: 2011 Global Music Festival
I have great news! As we come to the end of the development phase for the 2011 Global Music Festival; it is time to 'change it up' and focus on pre-production.
Music4Kidz reached out ot the entire group of consulates general represented in California. It is at the consulate level that I am initiating conversations with various governments to garner official sponsorships, support and begin 'word of mouth' promotion of this important project.
As of this writing, a good number responses and meetings are being set with the Consul of Generals of Israel, India, Japan, Portugal and Denmark. The Ashdod Symphony Orchestra of Ashdod, Israel has made a commitment to travel to Los Angeles and participate in the festival. They have begun local fundraising to pay for their trip and have already received over $10,000 in donations.
My co-producers have reserved Saturday and Sunday, June 4th and 5th, 2011 at Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles for the grand finale of the week of activities that will make up the first Music4Kidz Global Music Festival.
This is your invitation to become a part of this program focused on music students of eighteen years of age and under. We will need volunteers, host families, fund raisers and more. At this time we need to hear from people interested in being a member of the Organizing Committee for the 2011 Global Music Festival.
